Cookie Definition

HyperTV Services’ Cookies

In connection with the HyperTV Services, HyperTV and/or its customers or partners may use cookies to customize your online advertising experience as an End User based on the preferences or interests known or inferred from the data collected. HyperTV customers may use cookies to serve appropriate ads to you and to help track results or measure effectiveness of those ads. Cookies placed by HyperTV on behalf of its customers will persist for no more than ninety (90) days, but may be renewed each time the device is encountered. Cookies placed by HyperTV’s customers in connection with the HyperTV Services will be subject to the respective customer’s privacy policy.

Switching Off Cookies in Your Browser

Usually you can stop your browser from accepting cookies in general or from accepting cookies from a particular website.  All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. You can typically find these settings in the “options” or “preferences” section of your browser.

Switching Off Advertising Cookies

If you are concerned about third-party cookies generated by advertisers, you can turn these off by going to the Network Advertising Initiative or Digital Advertising Alliance.  If you are in the EU, you can turn off these cookies by going to the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance.

Please be aware that:

I. HyperTV needs to set an anonymous “opt-out” cookie to indicate your decision not to be tracked. Your opt-out will remain in effect only as long as this cookie is present in your browser and accessible to HyperTV.

II. Cookies are browser and device specific – opting out of tracking on this browser and device does not affect your settings on a secondary device and / or browser

IV. When you opt out, any data we hold will be disassociated from your browser and device and not used for ad targeting anymore.
